Five Criteria Findings In A Transfer Hearing

These five criteria findings could keep the child in the Juvenile Court, or the judge could decide to send the minor to adult court. These criteria are:

single pract ico The degree of criminal sophistication exhibited by the minor;

single pract ico Whether the minor can be rehabilitated prior to the expiration of the juvenile court’s Jurisdiction;

single pract ico The minor’s previous delinquent history;

single pract ico Success of previous attempts by the juvenile court to rehabilitate the minor; and

single pract ico The circumstances and gravity of the offense alleged in the petition to have been committed by the minor.
