Los Angeles Criminal Defense Attorney Silva Megerditchian of SLM Law appeared on Court TV in April to analyze the James Addie murder trial.

Addie was being accused of murdering his fiancée, Molly Watson. Megerditchian gave her insight on the case as a qualified criminal lawyer.

“The problem is: if not him, then who?” Megerditchian asked. There was quite a bit of tangible evidence working against Addie.

Later on in the interview, Megerditchian gave her take on the defense attorney’s approach.

“The key to criminal defense is not wasting the jury’s time,” she said, speaking from years of experience. “And not asking too many questions that will needlessly either distract or bore the jury.”

Megerditchian goes on to discuss the tire tracks found at the scene of the crime. These tracks became incriminating evidence against Addie. Not long after this segment aired on Court TV, he was convicted on counts of first-degree murder and armed criminal action. He will spend at least the next 20 years behind bars.
